All sorts of issues or events can lead to stains to your carpets:

  • A party where a few guests get unruly and spill some food and wine on your carpets.
  • Your kids have spills and accidents - it’s all part of growing up.
  • Pets create a large amount of staining and soiling - running in from the garden (they never wipe their feet), the odd accidental leak on the carpet, and puppy training - goes without saying.
  • The average living room carpet can hold over 10kg (over 22lbs) in soil and debris - which also adds to wear and tear, shortening the life of the carpet.

There are many different types of stains and soiling that could be ruining your carpet and we know exactly how to clean all of them.

The job will be completed in the time stated and in the professional manner you expect from a quality carpet cleaning service.

We’re carpet cleaners who have seen just about everything that can happen in a person’s home and we’ll be up to whatever job is that you need us to do.

We always offer competitive prices and a high level of service to our customers.

Your time and money are valuable to you and we’ll make sure not to waste either of them when you hire Manor Carpet Clean to clean your carpets.
We arrive on time - every time.

Before we can start our cleaning, there are a few things you can do first to make the job go smoother. First, you will want to remove any breakable items from the area. We can move  some of the light furniture, we don’t want to endanger your fragile items. Finally, ensure that all children and pets will be kept away from where we are working. As part of our carpet cleans we will carry out the following process:

Inspection
We start the process by examining your carpets. We'll inspect the main problem areas that need to be addressed individually and take note of the kind of carpet you have and how much cleaning it should require. We'll let you know if there are any stains that we don’t expect to be able to remove.
PH test and a dye test will determine the best method of cleaning your carpets safely.

Pre-vacuum
We use an industrial strength vacuum cleaner to remove most of the dirt and other particles from your carpet. This helps us to clean better and removes the loose debris on your carpet.

Pre-spray treatment
We use an organic pre-treatment spray on all spots and stains. This also loosens up the embedded dirt and makes it easier to remove.

Extraction & Rinse
Once the pre-treatment spray has had time to work, we will flush out the carpet with a water solution containing a mild acid rinse. This stablises any dyes in your carpet and removes any cleaning residue. We use a high powered carpet cleaning system to push the warm water at high speeds and ensure all the loose particles are swept away. We regulate the pressure during this step to ensure that the carpet never becomes too wet..

Grooming the Carpet
A soft brush rake is then used on the carpet pile to ensure all the fibres are facing the same direction. This also allows the carpet to dry faster and look more attractive.

Stainguard (if requested).
A quality stainguard can be added to your carpets, providing additional protection from everyday soiling. There is an additional cost for this service. We will discuss the overall costs prior to commencing any work.

Inspecting the Work
Once your carpet sas been cleaned you should wait to vacuum your carpet until 24 hours have passed since the cleaning. The tabs and blocks protecting the furniture should also not be removed until after 24 hours following the cleaning. Please also keep in mind that hard surfaces can be slippery. You should take caution when stepping from the carpet onto an uncarpeted floor.

We have a minimum call out charge of £40.00 - so it may be cost effective to do more than one room at a time.

Carpets can be a great flooring option, adding warmth and comfort to your home or business. But do you know what’s really lurking in carpet?
Because of all the traffic it encounters daily, carpet attracts and hides some of the worst allergens, bacteria, germs, organisms and other hazardous particles.
Dirty carpets can affect your health and the indoor air quality of your home or business, and create unpleasant odours over time.

SO WHAT’S HIDING IN YOUR CARPET?

Dirt and Soil

The average carpet can accumulate up to 20kg of dust. dirt and soil every year - easily brought in from outside, it makes it’s way into your carpet mainly on footwear or via your pets.

Pet Hair and Skin Flakes

The average person sheds 1.5 million skin flakes per day. Microscopic insects (such as fleas, ticks or mites) feed on skin flakes. Regular vacuuming can help reduce the amount of dead skin cells and pet hair that have fallen into your carpet.

Bugs

Your carpet also harbours a number of species of bed bugs, fleas and dust mites. Mites can cause allergies through their moulted skin, waste and through the mites themselves.

Mildew, Mould and Other Bacteria

Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there! Pathogens such as salmonella, E. coli, and staphylococcus can hide in carpet fibres and cause illness. Mould or mildew can also thrive in a warm, wet environment. Keeping carpet dry will help prevent the formation of mould or mildew.

Odours

Toxic substances from cigarette smoke can make their way into carpet fibres. Pet urine and spilled food or drink can also cause odours to form in your carpet if not cleaned immediately and properly.

Food and Drinks

Spilled food or drink not just leave unsightly stains but also serve as a food source for bacteria and organisms.

To prevent permanent stains or odours from forming, the key is to act quickly -  absorb any spilled liquids by blotting. Then spot treat the area.

The contaminants that exist in your carpet can cause allergies, sneezing, colds, or breathing problems. If there are toxic substances from cigarette smoke embedded in your carpet, your family may even be at risk for cancer. The waste produced by dust mites can also cause allergic reactions.

Minimize the carpet culprits

  • Taking off shoes before walking on carpet can reduce the amount of dirt and other bacteria that are tracked in and stomped into the carpet.
  • Placing area rugs in high-traffic areas, as they are washable and can be replaced more easily than carpeting.
  • Vacuuming once or twice a week is a great start to reducing the number of contaminants in your carpet. But since vacuuming cannot remove everything that’s hiding in your carpet, you must take extra steps to get your carpet as clean as possible.
  • Having your carpets professionally deep cleaned once a year can reduce the amount of unseen pests, prevent sickness and allergies, and remove or prevent undesirable odours.
  • Deep cleaning reaches down to the bottom layers of your carpet.

We offer a variety of expert carpet cleaning, odour removal and stain removal services.

Arrange you deep clean here.

Removing Allergens:
Carpets can hold a lot of things you don’t want. Pet hair, dust particles, bacteria, mould, mildew, mud brought in on shoes and more . . .
Preventing Infestation:
Many houses have a hidden menace the owner isn’t aware of: dust mites. They’re microscopic and everywhere. A major source of allergens.
Eliminating Odours:
Houses are full of smells that no one needs to mention. Pets and spillages are the prime culprits leading to stains, which result in mould growth and bacteria causing respiratory issues and infection.
Keeps it Looking New:
Removing deep down grime rejuvenates your carpets for years to come.
Extending the Life of you Carpet:
New carpets are not cheap. An annual deep cleaning removes the dirt, staining and tiny particles that the vacuum cleaner misses. Small particles that are not picked up by vacuuming alone add to the wear and tear. It’s estimated that the average living room carpet holds 10kg of mud & soil.
